Water is traditionally extracted from ground water (boreholes and wells) or surface water sources (rain harvesting, springs, rivers and dams). Most surface waters contain micro-organisms that can cause waterborne illnesses, making filtration and chemical disinfection essential. The growing pressure on scarce water resources results in increasing demand for alternative sources of water such as seawater desalination, effluent reuse and acid mine water treatment. Nseleni crocodile becoming a safety risk

At the Nseleni water treatment plant there is a 1.5 meter crocodile that is becoming more and more of a safety risk.  He found his way into the sludge dams some time ago, and has since then made the area his home.

The local Wildlife Centre have already tried several methods to try capture the animal, but have so far been unsuccessful.
